This weekend is one I’ll remember and cherish for a long time. It was the first weekend I’ve taken time off in a long time. I had a couple of quick client meetings, but otherwise, it was ours. I ran, decorated, designed, crafted, read, shopped, ate well, and napped as well as sleeping over seven hours at night. I appreciated the time so much. I still have a long way to go with Christmas preparations, but I’m ready to take it on. The majority of my photography work is caught up (rarely happens!) and I am focused on being creative and spending time with loved ones. Yesterday, I took the time to get creative doing something just for me. Simple little iron-on transfer t-shirt project (which you can see on instagram – beckynovacek) which was SO gratifying! I needed to do something just for my own creative self. Now I can’t wait to make more! More than likely everyone on my list will get a t-shirt : ) Today, I will be working on addressing Christmas card envies, making a project for tomorrow’s October Afternoon blog post (I work well under pressure!), decorating our family room, shopping a little and having bang bang shrimp tacos with Kelly. Sounds like a great day to me!
Here’s a peek at my dining room all decked out-
I’m still planning to share a Christmas tour of our humble abode soon.
I recently photographed a family who are connected in a couple of ways. Kristen grew up in Fremont and I know her sweet Mom, and Cody is the youth Pastor at my friend Kelly’s church. I love connections! It was a chilly day, but not so bad!
Love his Spidey hoodie!
