For the past four winters, I have challenged myself to create a layout for each of my ten grandchildren conveying one message.
The idea is to keep things simple and use one basic design that can change and develop into something a little different.
I am always surprised at how this simple challenge works to amp up my creativity.
It’s both gratifying because I’m creating a layout that has substance with a message that really means something to me AND
because I’m not concerned about reinventing the wheel in my design, I can allow myself to get creative in little ways.
This exercise has a way of inspiring creativity.
It’s one of the best and most infallible ways for me to insure excitement about making things.
There are ten layouts posted on SC’s blog, so you can check them out there!
If you are interested in the monthly or even one time purchase of a Studio Calico kit, you can find them here!
I hope this exercise inspires you in some way creatively!
