stitch fix review 5 & 6

I guess the last month has been extra crazy around here, because I have not done the last two Stitch Fix reviews. Suzy and I got together with both of the last two fixes and we are just having the best time! I have to give a shout out to my stylist Catherine too….she is awesome!

Here’s the scoop on our July box (and please try to overlook the horrible quality cell photos…we are usually laughing so hard when we take them, that we aren’t getting any quality at all!):

Striped cotton top – I don’t have Suzy’s description sheets, so I can’t give a real description for her items. When she pulled this top out, we were pretty sure it was a keeper…just Suzy’s style! She did end up liking it when she tried it on and kept it!

Chambray shirt. We thought this one would be a keeper when she pulled it out too, but when she tried it on, it wasn’t tailored enough for her figure. It was very boxy and Suzy has a tiny waist, so it wasn’t a good fit for her at all. Sent back.

Green Short Sleeve Top. Too boxy and just not her style.

Sent back.

Blue top. Business in the front, party in the back shirt didn’t do it for Suzy. Sent it back.

Powell Silk Tabsleeve V-Neck Blouse. I liked it okay, but it’s very similar to two other blouses that I’ve purchased in a print and a solid. Sent it back.

Ryleigh Geo Print Skirt. I really did like the skirt, but it’s a little short even for my taste and a little fuller than I like. It was also priced pretty high at $88. Sent it back.

photo-35 Maddox front Pleat Embellished Top. Too bohemian for me…I think? Plus I’m traumatized when I wear a shirt like this and might be mistaken for being pregnant! Sent it back.

Chunky Gold Chain Necklace. I’ve been wanting a necklace like this and the price was so right! Kept it.

Tiele Geo-Print Neck-Tie Blouse. This doesn’t look super flattering in this photo, but it’s really different than anything I own right now and I think it actually looks better in person? Kept it.

On to our August boxes, which we actually just received on this past Friday. Again, please forgive the awful quality of the photos. AND I look so bad in these, that I purposely cropped my head out. It was 10:30 at night when we got together to try on!

Burnt Red Dolman Top. SO cute on her! Undecided as of that night…but leaning toward keeping.

Kenzie Sexy Skinny Jeans. When she first stepped into them we were skeptical, but they ended up fitting great and looking great too! Keepers!

Geo-print Dolman Top. I thought it was cute on her, but she wasn’t a fan.

Prettiest shade of green cardi! I was a big fan and I think she is too!

Farah Fit & Flare Striped Dress. I loved this dress when I pulled it out of the box. But alas, it wouldn’t zip. Sad. Sent it back.

Suzy tried this dress on too and it looked so good on her, but she said she would never wear it. Too girly for her taste?

Breyson Split-Neck Tab-Sleeve Knit Top. Again, was afraid it made me look boxy through the middle..which I am, but sometimes I can conceal it a little. Plus, I’m hoping that doing Insanity will take care of my middle bubble! Suzy ended up keeping this!

Rio Geo Print Skinny Pant. Too big and maybe too flashy for me! Sent back.

The top above looked better on her and was more her style!

Florence Colorblocked Dress. Still not completely sold on this, but since it’s so different than anything else in my closet and I like it, I kept it.

Flowers Stripes and Clear Gems Bib Necklace. Loved this in the box and loved it on, but in the light at night inside it looked purple and I don’t like purple at all. Sent it back.

I missed getting a photo of a pair of really awesome earrings that Suzy got this month. She kept them.

So I have been receiving a box from Stitch Fix for the past 6 months! Can’t believe it. I have been so happy to have the same stylist from the start…because I think she really does get me and is helping me a lot with taking chances and trying new things. Suzy has had a different stylist every time, but I’m hoping she keeps the one from this month because it was the best effort I’ve seen.

My opinion after six months is very positive. It’s something I look forward to and enjoy very much, and I think it has opened my eyes up to my style and a more open-minded approach to how I dress. It’s made me care more about putting an effort into my appearance, even when I’m not necessarily where I want to be on the scale or because of gravity. As non-commital as I was when the first box came, I am totally onboard now and want to continue. I consider it a great success if I keep one or two items a month, because I’m not driving to twenty stores, trying to find one or two things and coming away with either nothing or something I’ve settled for.

So if you would like to try it out, you can sign up by clicking on the link below…and I will get a little credit if you do. I’ve been completely honest about my experience and I am not paid to say anything that I’m sharing. If you do sign up, I’d love to see how your experience goes! Email me or send me a link to your photos! I love seeing reviews and that’s why I try to do a review with each box.

Stitch Fix.

God bless!

admin - I hope your next box is full of great stuff! It’s odd how some stylists seem to really pay attention and others not so much?
