stitch fix review #4

The day that our Stitch Fix boxes are delivered has become a big day for Suzy and I! We lead such exciting lives, ya know?

This month, my awesome stylist Catherine wrote a really nice note about how she had noticed that Suzy and I were getting together and trying everything on and sharing. The iphone collage of Suzy shows mainly the items that came in her box, other than the second top on the right.

Top left: Grey Cowl Neck Asymmetrical Jacket: When she pulled it out of the box, we thought it looked a little odd, but when she put it on, it looked really good. The fabric is like butter and it was flattering from every angle. I think it’s a great addition to her wardrobe.

Second from left: Short Sleeve Zig Zag Blouse. This blouse wasn’t flattering on either one of us…made us look sort of heavy. BUT, Bailey tried it on and it totally worked for her!

Second from right. Striped Criss-Cross Collar Tank. This one was in my box, but when it didn’t work for me, Suzy tried it. I wanted to see it tucked in…and I do think it’s better tucked in, but she wasn’t sold!

Also second from right: Bootcut Jeans. The fit through her waist and hips was perfect on these, but the length and width of the legs didn’t work for her. I tried them on and they didn’t work anywhere for me!

Top right: Tab Sleeve Knit Button up. Pulling this from the box, Suzy was sure she was going to keep it, but when she put it on, it was a letdown. She didn’t think it worked.

Bottom photo: Chick and Leaf Necklace. I thought it was cute, but Suzy wasn’t into it. So it went back

So the only thing Suzy kept was the top left Grey Cowl Jacket. It was a definite winner! It was a great price too!

Left: Striped Criss-Cross Collar Tank. LOVED the neckline, but did NOT love the width at the waistline. It went back.

Right: Double Breasted Trench Coat Does my body language speak loudly or what? Not me at all. Sent it back

Left: 3/4 Sleeve Zig Zag Blouse. I am familiar with this top and was hoping I would get it. LOVE it, kept it.

Also left: Skinny Jeans. Honestly, the first pair of skinny jeans that have really fit me right. So happy with them…kept them.

Right: Chambray Dot Dress When I saw the fabric in the box, I loved it. When I tried it on, it didn’t fit right. So I sent it back. By the way, Suzy laughed when she saw me in this dress. I laughed a little too.

So, I kept the two items on the left and that’s it this time.

Here’s how I look at it. Two out of five items is great. I am slowly building my wardrobe with things I really love, and I haven’t had to go to the mall and try a million things on. I think Catherine is very good at what she does, and even though not everything is a perfect fit..I’m thrilled with the things I’ve gotten. I may have never found the right skinny jeans for my body type, but I probably would have continued to try them on and settled for buying a pair here and there that weren’t right.

So there you have it. A fourth experience with Stitch Fix and I’m happy!

Renae - The tab-sleeve button up came in one of my fixes too. I didn’t keep it either. LOVE the jacket that Suzy kept and LOVE the chevron top and skinny jeans. What an easy outfit to consider “go to” in your closet!! This is a fun post…keep ’em coming. Makes me want to try another fix. Maybe next month!!

Jill Cornell - LOVE the pieces you both kept – very flattering! So fun to try on with a friend and swap pieces as well!

BJ - What brand is and how much did the Grey Cowl Neck Asymmetrical Jacket cost?!?!?! I’ve been looking for one!!!
