I woke up this morning so refreshed and ready to put some things in motion that I’ve been procrastinating. Now I hope that my intentions turn into accomplishments. Sometimes in the dead of winter, I become less productive, which isn’t totally surprising, but I also hate to waste time! Playing solitaire on my phone is SO not what I want to spend time doing!

I do still feel great about doing the 30/30 challenge. The sad thing is that I feel like I could do it again and get rid of another layer. I’m finding myself becoming more and more edging toward less. A more minimalist approach to life in general.

I remember about a year or so ago, Jamie Lee Curtis was on the Nate Berkus show (is it gone?) and she shared how she keeps her wardrobe to a minimum. She suggested acting as if you were packing for a two week trip and getting rid of anything you wouldn’t pack for the trip. Radical. I am not that extreme, however through my recent IG experiment (for lack of a better word), I challenged myself to wear what’s in my closet and after wearing things that I hadn’t worn in a long time if ever, I decided whether I felt good in it or not, and kept it or gave it away. If you want to check it out the hashtag is #sundayreadyforchurch. On any day other than Sunday, I’m likely to be wearing yoga pants or running shorts, have very little makeup on and my hair pulled back in a messy bun. Sunday seemed like a good day to experiment with my wardrobe. I can honestly say that what I have in my closet now, I actually wear. When spring hits, I will probably be whittling it down even more. I noticed that I have a couple of really questionable dresses hanging in my closet that aren’t likely to make the cut when the weather warms up.

I have taken a little hiatus from shooting regular photo sessions for the past few weeks and I can honestly say that I am so excited to get back to it! I’ve been working on a project that has been challenging and fun and a huge honor lately, which I’ll share more about tomorrow, but photographing people will probably always be my first love. After my Saturday photo session, Tom and I enjoyed an impromptu date Saturday afternoon, having lunch at a new favorite spot in town, Savannakhet Market (can’t wait to go back!) and a quick stop at Park Avenue Antiques. Tom also snapped a new headshot for me….much needed!

I’m excited to share a few images from the engagement session of Ray and Tiffany. What a beautiful couple! Madie, Ray’s daughter added a spark too!

Renae - LOVE these! Snow is beautiful and these two (should I say three?) really made it work! I can’t believe they weren’t wearing coats in a few of those shots! Loved this. BTW I play Solitaire too, Ryan thinks I’m lame! 🙂
