I have to let you all know that yesterday, my Mom had a good day! I attribute it to all of the prayers. Thank you SO much for taking the time to say prayers…it’s working! Today, she is having another good day, so we are very thankful!
Well, I’ve officially completed the nine weeks of C25K training and have graduated to running 3 miles in 30 minutes. I’m thrilled and shocked that I have been able to do it. I talked to two of my friends today who are slightly older than me and both have bad knees. I encouraged them to at least start a walking program, because my knees were not good when I started. I had to ice them for 15-20 minutes after every run. Now, they feel stronger and better than ever. I don’t ever even think of icing them anymore. SO, if you think you won’t be able to do an exercise program because of your knees or any other aches or pains, start slow, be careful, but give it a try. I don’t run every day, it’s only 3 times a week, but I feel so good! It’s inspired me to eat better and more consciously too.
This past Tuesday, I met Lindsy who happens to be the Goddaughter of my dear friend Peggy. We spent 5 hours together talking photography and practicing what we were talking about. It was so fun to mentor and teach someone who is as passionate about photography as I am. She soaked up everything I had to offer. Just seeing her excitement as lightbulbs turned on was awesome. After a couple hour break, we met up with past photography workshop attendees and a few models and went out and about shooting. We had stellar models. Seriously, the best and most gracious models.
A couple of the younger ones were a little freaked at first by all the paparazzi, but they adjusted and did just fine. I would have been intimidated by all the cameras too!
She was a great sport and her Mom was a lifesaver-when my camera broke, she went to my house and grabbed my backup camera and saved the day!
John and Lindsey. Wow. They are just the cutest, most awesome engaged couple! So full of life and love.
The light at our last location was SO gorgeous.
I can’t look at these photos without smiling!
My online bud Megan and her family drove out to be our
guinea pigs models too. They were just so gracious to allow us to all snap away!
Give her a field of dead dandelions and she is a happy girl!
Such a good and patient Daddy.
One of my favorite photos ever. AND as I’m looking at the photos from this night, I am struck at how blessed I am to have met and worked with and enjoyed the company of such amazing people through photography. The people who have come to the photography workshops and the people who I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Quality people.
A big thanks to all of our models! You blew me away!
God bless your day and weekend!
