The visual inspiration whenever I travel, always makes me long to get home and get creative. This trip was particularly inspiring in this way. I am still trying to carve time out of my day to turn some of the things I was inspired by, into my translation in my home. I haven’t gotten much done yet, but I’m hopeful! I hadn’t even heard of the Bachman house, but Miley thought we should check into it….and I’m so glad she suggested it! It was amazing. Such creative ideas everywhere we looked. I hope to use some of their ideas as a springboard for my own creativity. Here are a few images:
I also forgot to share a photo of the petite chandelier I found for our entryway. I’ve been looking for a fixture like this for over a year! I think it’s perfect for the space.
So happy with all of my purchases and the ideas I came home with. Oh and you must go check out Kelly’s new piece…I am swooning.
I don’t want to get too behind on sharing recent sessions peeks, so today, I want to share a few shots of John. John and his family used to live across the street…sort of…their backyard was across the street. I photographed Harper on their swing, because I thought it was such a charming backyard. I just went over and knocked on the door and asked! Julie was so gracious about it!
Anyway, that is John’s former backyard : ) I see John’s picture in our local paper often, because he is a stellar golfer. He has won numerous awards for his skills. But he’s not just a great golfer, he’s an awesome guy!
I don’t often show a formal yearbook shot. It’s not that I don’t take them, it’s just not the more creative side of what I do, so I don’t tend to be as drawn to share them. I even have people ask if I take formal headshots. Yep, I do. Here’s a little sampling of some yearbook shots…while I’m on the subject:
Back to John. He’s a sort of reserved guy, so I’m pretty sure he’ll be okay with the whole post not being just about him.
I hope everyone is enjoying this fall day-God bless!
