The last day of 2012, what are you up to? I’m digging in around my house, cleaning, purging, decluttering and organizing, all while battling a horrible cold. This is the third time I’ve gotten sick in two months, so I’m getting the message. I know I need to slow it down. We had plans to go out for a nice dinner with Donna and Jamie tonight, but unless the prayers, Vitamin C, Mucinex and Neti Pot treatments do something miraculous, it’s probably not happening.
I think for the next two weeks, I’m just going to settle in and I may not even leave my house. Okay that’s extreme, but I think I’ll be a homebody as much as possible.
Here’s the progress I’ve made on the 30days/30bags challenge. Seven areas done, with 8.5 bags of donations, giveaways and trash. It feels great! Today, I’m working on the kitchen cupboards. I have eleven cupboards/cabinets and since I did this last winter, they aren’t out of control, so I should be able to accomplish it in one day. If you’d like to join the challenge, you can read about it in this blog post. Also, don’t forget to post before/after photos on Instagram, using the hashtag: 30days30bags
I think it’s so motivating to share our progress with each other!
As I shared previously, I tend to start off strong and lose momentum as time goes by, so by staying accountable here and on IG, I hope it will help me to keep with it! So far, so good!
Over this past weekend, I photographed three families. The last three sessions of 2012. The last weekend of the year is typically busy for me, with family sessions. Lots of families see it as an opportunity to get the whole group together, with kids home from college and family members home for the holidays. Always a great way to end the year!
The family I am featuring today were not entirely new to me, since I took the youngest brother’s senior photos a couple of months ago. I enjoyed photographing him and found the whole family to be fun and easy to work with! Even though our location was chilly, they were great sports and we were able to take lots of photos in very little time. Most guys in the families seem to appreciate when that happens.
Love this shot!
LOVE the obvious closeness between siblings and parents!
God bless your day!
Happy New Year!
