that’s my attitude about the holidays and all the busyness that accompanies it. I want to enjoy both my business and personal life to the fullest. I refuse to be overwhelmed. I am not afraid to say no, if I need to. How tough do I sound? Yeah, I’m not that tough, but I do have boundaries : )I told 2 different people no this week on things that I knew would put me over the top.
I committed myself to a couple of scrapbooking dities and I’m actually really glad that I did. If not, I may not have even stepped foot in my studio this month. You can check out a little blog post on the Scrapbooks, Etc. blog called “using your scraps”. I am a big fan of using favorite leftover bits and pieces. I also had Mom over last week to work on a joint project for the JBS inspo blog. That one’s not up yet, but when it is, I will post a link. We had fun and spent time together. While I was working on the SBE post, I watched most of “The Holiday” with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and the awesome Jack Black. I love that movie. I rarely watch a movie more than once, but I watch this one every Christmas season. It makes me happy.
I finally did some Christmas shopping yesterday. I bought lots of toys. I think I am done with the grandchildren other than Alexis…and I know what we’re getting her. The gifts that I have left are ones that require some time to actually create….so that is my goal for the weekend. I hope to at least get started! I have plenty of ideas, I just need to get them put together.
Last weekend, I photographed sweet baby boy Landon. He is just the happiest baby! He put up with outfit changes and goobering adults (2 parents, 1 photographer) and never fussed. I took LOTS of pics of this sweet pea.
God bless your day!
