you never know…

who is going to show up for photos i usually hear from potential clients via email and we usually “chat” back and forth a few times about dates, times and locations….but then it’s always sort of a surprise to see who i’m going to be shooting. such was the case on tuesday evening. i had emailed back and forth with korby, but had no idea who her fiance was. even when they walked in the loft, i didn’t immediately recognize him. after a couple of minutes, my brain kicked in, and i asked him his name again, and realized that it was curtis, one of jared’s soccer teammates. people really change from 18 to 25. well, curt did anyway. i guess jared has changed a lot too, but it’s not as obvious to me. jared will turn twenty five tomorrow. that is crazy. he’s my youngest! i don’t feel old enough to have a 25 year old, let alone an almost 30 year old child! moving along….

it’s great to see someone who has grown up and is living not only a productive life, but who has found the right person to spend his life with! i’m so happy for curt and korby!

in my last post, i shared a sneak peek at a project i was working on for fiskars. i finished it up last night…and the 3 projects i made are probably among my faves that i’ve ever made! i just really got into it! here’s another sneak-

yesterday, i did a photoshoot with a 3 day old baby boy. sigh. i love them new. this baby has an uncle in thailand, so i’ll be posting some peeks tomorrow especially for his uncle. and the rest of the family of course! he is beautiful!

tomorrow, we’ll be celebrating addison’s 2nd birthday too! i can’t believe she’s 2. unbelievable. hopefully i’ll get some new shots of her….she’s a busy girl. i know to get some shots, i’ll be running after her. that’s quite a visual.

good friday is always a sobering day for me. tonight, we’ll go to a good friday service at church, and i’m sure it will be a moving service. brooke will be singing a solo, which for me is always moving anyway. easter is such an emotional holiday for me. the hope and grace are what it’s all about.
