working hard…

so that i can relax a little and enjoy the upcoming Christmas festivities. i took some time off and enjoyed thanksgiving, but i also spent a lot of time at the computer : )  the great thing about the photography business, is that everything needs to be done early, to make sure that everyone gets what they need in time for the big day. soooo, once the first week of december is here, most of my holiday work is done. the companies that i do design work for are great about having all of our deadlines early too. so that we get a nice long break during the holidays! leading up to that, it’s a little crazy, but i  know myself well enough to know that i sort of thrive on all the busy-ness. at least to an extent. i manage to fill my time regardless.

another craft/Christmas related site you might want to check out is the jbs inspiration blog. there will be a new Christmas/holiday project every day. i have to say that blogs and websites that update regularly with fresh inspiration and ideas make me very happy! that is much of the reason that i am so proud to be associated with both fiskars and jenni bowlin. i like that they invest time and money in not only providing consumers with great products, but with ideas on how to use their products.

my photo sessions are slowing down, so after this week, i’ll be sharing more photos of my life, home and family. but i have a few very special sessions to share this week. i first photographed drake when he was only a few weeks old. at six months old, he still has the same sweet temperment and now he has this easy smile to go with it. his parents are obviously totally in love with their baby boy and that is something i so enjoy photographing.
