the wedding of russ and jess this past weekend. i have been bursting to share the images! i wrote a little about it on monday….every detail was just perfection. including the fact that they both really trusted me and went with what i suggested. here’s the thing that i find interesting about shooting weddings: a bride and groom choose a photographer because they are drawn to the photographer’s style, but then when the day of the wedding arrives, they may be hesitant to go with the ideas of the photographer that they chose. one thing that i love doing when i shoot a wedding, is the location shots of the bride and groom before the wedding. so i just find it puzzling, i guess. anyway, not so with jess and russ! they were so willing and adventurous! and i think it shows in their photos. actually it’s a combination of willingness, a connection to each other and in this case-model good looks. and honestly, the majority of wedding couples i’ve photographed HAVE been willing, connected and great looking! i know i am blessed! when donna and i arrived at the magnolia hotel, we were so impressed….and then every step of the day we were more impressed. i could go on, but i’ll just post the images-
