sorry! my “to-do” list is too long today! i’m leaving tomorrow, so i have much to get done before i leave. my photography clients will be happy to know that i’m opting to spend more time editing rather than “b-listing”. someone asked recently why i call it the *b* list. obviously it’s my first initial, but it’s also my sort of tongue in cheek, poking fun at myself, not an *a* list, but rather *b* list…sorta like a *b* movie : ) i’m really not down on myself at all, i just think it’s good to stay humble and not take myself too seriously. i do love lists…and today, the “to do” list is my priority! while i’m at tara’s i intend to forget about my list for a few days.
one thing that i would include on a list of “things i want to do” (my list would be very, very long..there is so much i want to do!) is start a book club. i love, love, love to read and would love to have a group of friends to meet with and discuss a book a month. i wanted to start a cooking club and after a few years, it happened!
last week, i photographed one of the sweetest families ever! daryl and karen are such awesome parents….and it’s not just what i’m seeing during a photoshoot. it’s so obvious that they are the same whether the camera is around or not. briley and andrew are so smart and engaging. seeing the dynamics of this family is inspiring!

once again, i am blessed to be doing what i’m doing!
wedding update: i’m feeling pretty good about details that i’ve been working on for jared and beth’s wedding. granted, i’m not doing all that much : ) i did finish addressing invitations for our part of the guest list. i figured it would be easier for me to write out the ones on our list because i don’t have a concise list with addresses. i use my address book and the phone book when i do Christmas cards, thank yous, etc. i finished it up while jared stopped by to eat his lunch. he had me add a couple he thought of while we were sitting at the table. i also ordered some supplies for reception decorations, and designed and ordered the guest book (which i am super excited about and can’t wait to see!) i have my dress(es) : ) and my shoes, which is unbelievable for me to have done already. 54 days.
