without creative pursuits, i would be miserable. i have to have my hands in something creative every day. if not crafting, then working on my home, or doing a photo shoot, or making a special dinner. it’s not specific, but i do NEED to do my thing. it can be very simple. last night, i bought new sheets for the guest room (our family from washington will be here monday!) and even just making the bed up with freshly laundered sheets and a new funky quilt will be fun for me. i am looking forward to finishing up that room. it’s been a work in progress for far too long. hopefully i will have photos to share soon.
for the next few days i will be doing lots of shoots, so there will be no lack of creative activity. for that, i am grateful. i’ll be editing between shoots, and hopefully find a little time for creating in my studio. i do have some deadlines sneaking up, so i think i will make time. nothing is more refreshing and relaxing to me than time in my studio creating. while i create, i usually have a movie going. recently i’ve “watched” (i use that word loosely!) benjamin button and the duchess. enjoyed them both. as usual, i find myself almost more into the scenery, than anything. so with the duchess, i was intrigued by the gorgeous sets, fashion and cinematography. i do really like keira knightley. she is so beautiful and can act too. while i watched, i made a few things and can share snippets:
this project will be featured in fiskars summer school tomorrow. i’ll post a link when it is up. kinda pretty and very practical.
in the month of july, fiskars will do a new project every day on their website. the project pictured above will be featured on july 3 or 4th (i think). it was so much fun to make and sorta different.
i’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use this cool tile *w*. her name is wren. how perfect.
one of the above photos will be the cover of july’s healthwise : )
tomorrow, i’ll be posting photos from a very special wedding. can’t wait!
God bless your day!
