lots and lots of deadlines…all good ones. i need to stay on course and finish some things up because i know that when the holiday season rush is over, things will slow way down. i’ve been working on pacing myself as always, and trying to make sure that i don’t become too task-driven. i went to the high school concert, “musical villians” this week. my friend suzy’s son keith sang a solo and it was sooooo beautiful! he is a quiet, reserved guy, but he belted his song out and showed a side of himself that i had not seen. i was so impressed. i recognized quite a few seniors who i’ve photographed, so that was an added bonus. such talent! i really enjoyed the evening. i just made plans to have lunch with a friend tomorrow, so i think as long as i make it a point to not routinely say “no”, i’ll be in good shape! since i don’t really have weekends, i do need my time to do things with family and friends. the only reason i share this is because i know that my situation working from home is similiar to many of you and i think we need to encourage each other NOT to become machines that just work and do for others, and never take time to enjoy life and rest. i’m preaching to myself here too!
last week, i photographed jacob (who i photographed a few weeks ago on location) and his brother and sister. what a fun family dynamic….the youngest is quite the character! i think the photos will testify to that-
3 very distinctively different children who have the same parents. i love genetics.
my favorite park in town. the only one that hasn’t torn out the retro metal equipment and replaced it with plastic. i know plastic is more safe, but i think some of the old stuff needs to be preserved and used. anyway, ben’s style came through on this shot : )

senior photos are wrapping up, next week i will shoot my last two. i love doing them, so i’ll probably go through withdrawals until next summer : )
have a great day and God bless!
