“be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God, my God is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” I Chronicles 28:20

I read this verse this morning and it encouraged me, so I thought it might encourage you too. We don’t have to be alone in anything we face.

Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely lady’s family while they were all back in Nebraska for a family reunion. We didn’t waste any time getting started with thunder rumbling in the distance…and it’s good we got right to it, because it ended up raining within an hour. It even stormed a little. We have had so little rain this summer, it was actually enjoyable to hear thunder and see rain coming down!

I met Elizabeth quite a few years ago at the Foofala store. I always enjoyed seeing her and sharing our love of all things creative. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her home which is located on a beautiful private lot with a backyard sanctuary. As we walked around to the backyard, this is what we spotted. A little blurry, since I wasn’t prepared!
