She IS the girl next door, but she is anything but JUST the girl next door!

She is drop-dead gorgeous, talented and very poised.

I think I met Maddi when she was about 12, and wow has she changed in a few short years.

I’ve always enjoyed talking to both her and her mom Shannon, and especially doing cheer photos for the past two years.

I knew that Maddi’s senior session would be adventurous and well thought through, on their end and on mine.

I think she may have the record so far this year for the most images in a senior file.

And the outfits, so good, right?

    Kathy - Gorgeous!!

For many years now, my business has been built by word of mouth and the power of social media and the internet.

Before this phenomenal form of connecting with like-minded people, I can’t even imagine how hard artists and creatives had to work to make a living at their craft.

I was a stay-at-home mom for many years, but when my kids were grown, I feel like God handed me this new livelihood, which I see as a gift from Him.

Today’s featured session is absolutely the result of word of mouth, which wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t connected through social media.

I just felt the need to share this, because we all have such great opportunities to share our craft, beliefs, philosophies and influence here on the web.

I believe that we can decide how we would like to influence others, bless them and give them inspiration.

Will we use it for good?

Also, I meet the best people through my photography business!

Coincidence, I don’t think so.

I met Lisa and Braedyn at one of three fun locations we used in the Omaha metro area.

I love that Braedyn had a specific vibe in mind for her session, and we were able to work together to make it happen.

Her outfit selections were absolutely stellar too.

Best wishes to Braedyn in this next season of life as she finishes school and pursues her dreams!

The first official wedding I shot was Brandon + Tamara’s.

They were the first to believe that I could do something as important as the biggest day of their lives to that point.

They continue to put their trust in me for important events in their lives and I don’t take it for granted!

I took photos of their firstborn Tyler and recently I photographed his baby sister Ainsley when she was just 6 days old!

In this last photo, Ty is telling her all the things he is going to teach her…it was so real and precious!

Thank you Brandon and Tamara!
