They have a beautiful love story.

As written by Lucas:

“Lucas and Lauren met in high school when Lauren was a freshman and Lucas was a junior.

Their friendship grew while in ministry and leading worship together.

Lucas’ attraction to Lauren began while serving together on the worship team for the high school youth group at the church they both attend.

Lauren’s attraction to Lucas began 3 years later after a 7 car pile-up on the interstate.

After 10 years of building friendship, their love blossomed.”

I just have to add my 2 cents.

Lauren told me during our initial meeting and again at their engagement session (because I wanted to hear it again!)-

that when she heard about the accident, she was suddenly aware of the fact that she couldn’t imagine life without Lucas in it.

I have goosebumps just typing that!

So, she went to see him and told him how she felt.

Can you imagine! Isn’t this the most beautiful love story?

I also must add that their love for each other is really compelling to see.

It’s a truly beautiful thing!

Lots of romance, but plenty of humor and fun too.

I look forward to their wedding day….

God bless!

I hope everyone enjoyed Easter weekend and all of the festivities.

“He is not here, for He is risen.” Matthew 28:6

This fact is the reason I get excited to celebrate Easter.

Being a Christian, Easter is probably the most important holiday to me.

So much power in His death and resurrection.

Power that I need in my life, and I’m so grateful for.

This little lady celebrated her first Easter yesterday.

I photographed her parent’s wedding a couple of summers ago and rarely have Donna and I enjoyed a wedding day so much.

Such great people, who are so fun to be around.

I was thrilled when they contacted me about newborn photos!

They are amazing first-time parents.

And June Matilda is perfectly beautiful with a little spunk.

I look forward to documenting her as the months and years go by!

God bless!

Today it feels and looks like spring…the weather is mild, and things are greening up and blossoming.

I love how alive and fresh everything feels.

The morning we met up for Hannah’s six month photos wasn’t feeling particularly springy, just more wet and dreary.

But we had lots of enthusiasm in the studio!

Sarah and Hannah are just so sweet and lovely like their momma.

What a perfect Mother’s Day photo!

Hope you all are having a great day!

God bless.
