I think I mentioned on Facebook when I posted a photo of Drew that I was so excited to do his senior photos based on the interaction I had with him at his brother’s wedding.

Drew was the best man and he was so full of energy and has such a sense of humor, that I knew we would have a good time and that he would be a great subject.

What I did not realize is that he has a serious side too and that I did not have to work hard at all to get him to do whatever expression was fitting.

Great kid and pretty cute too….

I love that he loves to fish and does it regularly…and knows a lot about it.

His fishing location is the bomb in general and especially for photos!

God bless!

Senior photos for the baby of the Cate family…I am thrilled to have the honor of photographing all 4 Cate kids!

Chase’s family members (himself included) are hilarious and so fun to laugh with.

We have had a good laugh at each session, and I always leave their sessions feeling so encouraged about life.

I’ve known Chase since he was a baby and kept up with him to some degree throughout his whole life, but over the past couple of years, this dude has come into his grown up self so strongly!

What a great young man.

To my friend, Tracey Cate (and Scott too): Well done! You have raised 4 amazing human beings!

God bless!

The week of Blake and Sierra’s wedding the forecast did not look good.

They stopped by my house a few days before the wedding to chat about final details and Sierra expressed her concern…and I told her that regardless, she would have great photos.

That’s something that I feel very strongly about.

If you are a wedding photographer, you need to have a backup plan in case of bad weather.

I spend an afternoon the week before I shoot, scouting locations…and always figuring out a plan B.

As it turned out, no plan B was needed!

Blake and Sierra were so great to work with, and their love is so easy to see and fun to photograph.

They were surrounded by awesome people, and also full of life and energy!

Grandpa had some dance moves!

So did the girls!

Wishing Blake and Sierra all the best in their future together!
