When you think about a February wedding in the Midwest, you would most likely imagine a cold, snowy winter wonderland.
We actually talked about the possibility of a blizzard when we initially met to discuss wedding details.
A beautiful, sunny 60 degree day is not expected, but that is exactly what happened on February 18, 2017 when Matt and Alex tied the knot.
A snowy day would have been fun, but I personally loved that we were able to be outside most of the afternoon!
Favorite photo of their day of the two of them.
Here’s how the day started…
I love that Alex’s mom LuAnn wears her grandma’s ring…
I remember when LuAnn was expecting Alex and I remember that Alex was a beautiful baby, little girl, teenager and now young woman.
Beauty that goes deep.
I have had the honor of photographing Alex’s beautiful nieces since Merrick was 3 months old.
I love the bond between them.
If you have looked at my photos of weddings in the past, you know that I LOVE photographing the grandparents at weddings.
Could these two be any sweeter?
This wedding was particularly special, because I have photographed two of Alex’s bridesmaids’ weddings.
When I walked into the reception lobby, I was blown away by this display.
My friends Andrea Zahourek and Jean Schafersman were the event decorators and as always, their work was stunning throughout.
All the best to Matt and Alex in their very bright future!
