thankfully, i have family, friends and clients (usually) who trust me and some of my unorthodox choices for photo sessions. i like to find out of the way, unique places with great light. i drove by this abandoned place when i took sarah’s photos and we were going to stop by and use it for her shoot, but we lost too much light and we found a great spot for her shots anyway : ) i stowed this place away in my mind and knew it would work great for ryan, jennifer and the kiddos. plus, i knew that jennifer would *get* it and not fuss about how dilapidated it is. i love how these shots turned out! i’m so glad that they were fine with the bugs and weeds/stickers and unrefined state of the place.
i had this idea for some studio shots too.
i am thrilled with both of these images of jake and alexis. i’ve taken molly’s 4 year photos, but hadn’t really focused on these two recently. these shots make me very happy.
when i snapped this, i knew it was going to be a keeper : )
even the kids were great sports about the location. no fussing at all! they were even exploring. when tom got off work he came out and found us. i don’t think i can even surprise him anymore with my crazy locales!
i am SO anxious to share images from the wedding i shot last weekend! i’m planning to post them tomorrow and i can’t even stand waiting!
oh and just a quick update on my fall cleaning. i finished almost everything on the list for our bedroom and bathroom! it feels so good! i just need to tackle the closet and a few drawers….but i cleaned the windows, screens, light fixtures, woodwork and all the other routine cleaning. just trying to be accountable!
God bless your day!
