Thinking of everyone on the east coast and praying for safety as the cleanup and restoring of power begins.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah. Psalm 46:1-3,7
Documenting life and our families is important to me. After 9.11, I recognized how important. I think the pulling together of our relationships, taking photos of our everyday lives as well as the special events and then writing our thoughts and the details is just a beautiful thing. Photos, paper, glue, design and our personal writings. Some of my very favorite things!
*b* list on scrapbooking now.
- this is happening-
Becky Higgins and her scrapbooking sketch books were my favorites when I was first starting to officially scrapbook. She is classic…and her style and ideas continue to inspire- and particularly her concept Project Life. Now Studio Calico and Becky Higgins are collaborating! You can read all about it here!
My November Studio Calico projects. You can see them here.
- The new 2peas look! I love it! So fresh and modern. Great update! You can see Miss Molly in my newest layout there.
- BG Sale! You lucky peeps in Utah!

Something I’ve been working on recently are Christmas cards. It’s not that far off friends. Here’s the backside of the one I made for Brooke, Josh and family.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Christmas card template set from Jamie Schultz Designs. I enjoyed meeting her and attending her session at WPPI. I like to support good people with my business : )
I get to share my daughter and her family’s recent session today! As of now, I’ve taken all four of our kids photos for Christmas cards! I always use their images for my sample cards. I need to get on this! I’m late this year!
This was the favorite family photo. It will grace the front side of their Christmas card.
I didn’t intentionally set the kids up to mimic their family session 4 years ago, but I love how it turned out. Grey’s hand reaching back for Grif just like he did as a newborn.
Time goes TOO FAST.
There was a lot of running going on.
He is almost as tall as I am. Built so much like J and has a lot of his attributes and mine (easily grossed out while eating, particular about how he keeps his things, quiet until you hit a subject that interests him) and he is like me about art and having an eye for things.
We can’t wait to see what this guy does in the future. He is built like a Mac truck and loves him some sports. We call him Shaq and sometimes Su.
Yuhyun is their exchange student from South Korea. She’s only eleven years old and will be with them through the end of the school year. We’re still getting to know her as she is with us. Such an awesome opportunity for all of us.
Harper Quinn. Words fail me. Charismatic, extreme, beautiful. She has been a rockstar about having a sister. We wondered how she would do and she surprised me by how well she’s doing with not being the only girl in the house. She wanted a sister : )
The baby. He is my baby. Love this boy.
Have a great day and God bless!
