If I could choose to do anything in the whole world to do for a living, I would choose to do exactly what I’m doing. Even with the stress, deadlines, working most weekends and nights, I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else as a profession. There are perks to working 60+ hours a week on the computer: Netflix-back-to-back-to-back Army Wives episodes (I’m on Season 3 now), stopping for lunches with Tom and/or family and friends, working hours that I choose rather than punching a time clock, multi-tasking household work while I batch process and so, so many more things. I try to be constantly aware of how blessed I am to do what I love. AND, I try to encourage others to pursue their dream profession too. If you need a cheerleader, I’m your girl! I have several people I’m trying to encourage with their dream jobs right now. Some people know what they are passionate about and just need a little confidence to take steps toward making it happen, while others don’t really know themselves well enough to know what they want. I just really dislike seeing people going through the motions of life and not at the very least, taking baby steps toward their dreams.
One of my favorite parts of my job is meeting and working with awesome people. Garrett is one of Blake (Donna & Jamie’s son)’s best buds. He was in the Marines and came back and met his lovely fiance Debra in North Carolina. She is a sweet southern girl : ) We had to reschedule their session a couple of times because of rainouts and strangely enough, it poured the night of their session, so the third time was not a charm as far as weather goes…but it worked out and forced us to be creative, as well as good sports. The funny thing about the rainouts is that we have had so little rain, it’s just happened to fall on the days we were scheduled to do their engagement shots!
Between downpours!
LOVE.
Garrett pulled out a couple of really smooth moves, including this one.
These two will be getting married in a few short months in the south. So happy for them!
God bless your day!
