It’s already been almost two weeks since Tom was in Sturgis and I had a girls’ weekend here. Spending time with Jen, Lexi and Glue was just what I needed. Talking, brainstorming, relaxing, laughing and just being together. It was divine. They get it and they get me.
Bye baby…hello friends!
I’m sad that I didn’t get a shot of all four of us.
This iphone collage covers the weekend and the few days that Tom was off when he got back from Sturgis. The girls and I did a little junking and if you look close, you’ll see some of our finds. We talked about crafting together, but we were so busy chatting and just relaxing that we never did craft. When Lexi was getting packed up to leave, I saw what she brought along to share if we crafted and I was super sad that we hadn’t gotten around to that! Next time! A few days after Jen and Lexi went home, I went to Glue’s house for a little lunch and more brainstorming. I left feeling so energized and ready to go!
Tom and I went on a real dress up date while he was off, so that had to be documented. We went to 801 Chophouse, which I would highly recommend…and ask for Michael as your server. Michael is my friend Lin’s son and he is SO good at what he does. I know I mentioned him a while ago when I wrote about Bottega. He was the pastry chef there and was involved in their beautiful coffee table cookbook. We will remember our evening out for a long time! I want to try Sunday Prix Fix. Sounds lovely!
I even pulled out my real camera for one shot-
No Harley t-shirt! Just the boots : ) And I’m not wearing a hat. I didn’t plan the background well.
In the weekend collage I included a photo of Eli. Sunday night when the girls left, I got to spend some time with E man while Jared and Beth went to a Gavin McGraw and Colbie Caillat concert…I was a little jealous, but E made it alright. We ate cheese and leftover steak and peaches for dinner. It was a good night.
So life is humming right along. I’m sad to see summer coming to an end. I never like summer to end. I do like football season, so I’m trying to focus on the positives. Plus, that means Christmas is not too far away.
Hope your summer has been great and that you are enjoying these last days!
God bless!
