curtis and apryl’s wedding. {beckynovacekphotography} Wedding Photographer. Plattsmouth Nebraska

Hi, remember me? For years my blog posts had been so regular and predictable, every day a post by 10:30 am. Lately, I’ve struggled to make that happen. I think that’s a good thing and indicates that business is good? I do appreciate that you haven’t given up on me. There are so many exciting and encouraging things happening around here lately….emails from expectant parents, plus 2012 and 2013 senior photos, booking 2013 weddings, as well as fun assignments in the scrapbooking world….and I just feel incredibly blessed. A few days ago, in my morning readings, I read something about God turning trials into blessings. That day so many challenging things happened, including losing an important digital file and spending hours recovering it, then Payton crashed on his bike riding home from our house, and at about the same time, Tom had a freakish accident and obliterated his iphone. As the day progressed, I kept thinking about how God is known for turning ugliness and mishaps into something good. It really changed my entire attitude. Every single thing that had gone wrong that day, is okay today. Do I wish Payton hadn’t had to go through the injuries and that Tom wouldn’t have had to shell out more money than should even be legal for a new phone (our contract wasn’t up yet, so he had to pay a lot to replace his phone)? Yes, but I’m also grateful that it wasn’t worse and that I was able to have peace in the midst of the chaos, knowing that God is in control. Payton looks rough, but Brooke says that he’s sort of enjoying the tough guy look. Boys are funny!

I have so many recent family photos that I’ve been saving to share one day soon and I think that day may be next week. I also have a new project that I’ll be sharing progress on…another furniture redo. I’m totally into that lately. Tomorrow, Tom and I are going on a fun annual adventure with Donna and Jamie to Walnut Iowa and then on to a few other favorite junking locations. It will be a full day for sure. If you follow me on instagram (beckynovacek), you will see our day documented I’m sure. Have I mentioned I love instagram? I have a list of things I’m specifically looking for, so I’m hoping to be disciplined and I hope to find a few things that I’ve been on the hunt for. Also, next Friday (a week from tomorrow), another 2peas Gardeners’ Digest will be posted. That’s been such a fun monthly event, that I hope inspires you as it does me.

Today, I want to share some of my favorite images from the wedding I shot Saturday. It was so difficult to narrow it down. Curtis and Apryl are one of the most fun couples I’ve ever encountered. Totally down to earth, funny, and laidback. What made the day even more enjoyable, is that their family and friends are the same! Not high maintenance people at all, just good salt of the earth people. They all know how to have a good time!

The invitations were perfection! LOVE the little deer!

Another very cool detail is that Apryl’s grandma and aunt made her dress.

Apryl’s dimple is the best.

To me, this spot was just magical as far as lighting and backdrop.

The flower girls took time to swing a little.

Great impromptu dance party with the girls!

The green bouquets pop. Such a great color!

Touching dad and daughter moment.

Curt’s sisters with Apryl.

The guest book cover was another awesome detail.

The parents of this couple have both been married well over 30 years, which is something that means a lot to Curtis and Apryl. They honored their parents at the reception by publicly acknowledging their parents commitment to each other. That was an awesome moment.

I think the setting for their ceremony is absolutely stunning.

I love this shot of Rachel. She is Curtis’ older sister and Apryl’s dear friend.

We rubbed shoulders with the Warrior Dash runners and Harley poker run folks.

Rachel’s toast made her sweet mama teary.

First dance.

Quite an enjoyable day!

God bless!
