the memories are sweet, but the fact remains, that some of our loved ones live too far away. it’s hard to say goodbye knowing that it may be quite a while before we see each other again. we’ve been doing better in the past year or so. tom and i spent 9 days in washington last may, and then uncle dave and auntie jaynee came for a short visit in october….and now we have just said goodbye to them again, along with james, erika, emma, ellie and dane. you may have noticed that i haven’t been as wordy in the past 2 weeks? some of you have mentioned it : ) i was busy savoring their visit. it was all good, the days we spent in the pool, the meals we shared, the late night chats, and the day we went junking. (i snagged some great stuff that day! a couple of chairs, some cool, cool canvases, vintage fabric, and an oversized mint julep cup that is filled with a dozen pink roses from tom, just because!)
the day we went junking, erika’s longtime friend bridgette came out with us and on our way to return the awesome chair (that the estate dispersal store so generously allowed me to use) we stopped in a ditch and did a mini-shoot.
a couple of things after looking at these shots…..i really like the chair and may end up buying it (if it’s still available) AND i need to find some new hair products. something really great for flyaway and frizzy tops. i really do love these shots in spite of my hair though. i am mad at myself for not taking more photos this time.
because i haven’t put as much time into my blog/site lately, i realized that i didn’t share this layout i did for the melissa frances blog. sweet little miss addison may.
lastly, i wanted to share this verse:
“for I will give you abundant water for your thirst and for your parched fields. and I will pour out my Spirit and my blessings on your children. they shall thrive like watered grass, like willows on a river bank”. isaiah 44: 3-4
when i read this verse this morning at bible study, it was all i could do to hold it together and not burst into tears. what a comfort to know that the God of the universe cares so much for me, but also for my children. every parent wants to know that our children will thrive and be blessed. thank you God!
and my prayer is that God blesses each of you!
