back to work…

Totally refreshed and anxious to get things in place! Yesterday I designed Jared & Beth’s wedding albumĀ using photos I had taken. It will be a great sample album for folks to look at who are thinking of a more upscale design. I’ve been doing press print books for many weddings and will continue to offer them, the albums will be another option…and a beautiful one! I plan to design another album or two using photos that Cara took, as well as some of mine. I have several album companies that i want to check out after seeing their samples at the show. I was highly impressed by a couple of them, so it may be tough to narrow it down to one. Here’s a sample page from the album I put together late last night-

I can’t wait to get it ordered!

I also worked on a wall design for a couple of clients. So much fun to see the images become a part of what could be a beautiful, meaningful part of their homes!

While we were out of town, Jared and Beth stayed with the “girls” over the weekend and Brooke stopped in and took care of them during the week. As much as they love the kids, they missed us. Scooter is just starting to eat and act like herself again. She acted really depressed at first.

She’s pretty cute for her age. I love that she still acts like a puppy. And oh how she loves our bed.

Speaking of puppies-

Max is 8 weeks old and such a little character. He’s fitting into the family really well. This weekend I’ll be staying at Brooke and Josh’s with all 4 kids plus pets, while they go to Chicago. Ay-yi-yi. Wish me luck!

Today, I plan to work on more wall designs, album designs and some creative time in my studio-it’s been forever! I need to rent something good to have on while I try to get creative. Any ideas? I’m thinking Mad Men? or The Tudors? I also want to rent some classics sometime soon…it’s been a while.

While we were traveling, I finished “The Help”. As I read the last page, I totally understood my pal Tara’s response to the book ending. She wrote on her blog that she hugged the book and cried when she finished reading. I knew that I wanted to read it, because of all the great reviews it was getting, but when I read what T wrote, I went right to Amazon and ordered it. Great book. I highly recommend.

Have a great day and God bless you!
