what is it about a new day, that gives such fresh perspective? i love that we get a new start every 24 hours. thank you for all the kind comments and support on yesterday’s post. i know that we are not alone and that makes it somehow easier and more difficult, ya know? i feel so bad for anyone who is suffering the effects of depression and addiction within the family. i talked to my sister last night and she seems to be doing much better. one day at a time.
something i have been thinking about this week, is the importance of keeping my focus on what’s important. i also feel like i have an even greater appreciation for my loved ones….if that’s possible? letting go of the petty junk.
this morning, i’m going to check out an estate sale, on my way to the loft for a couple of shoots. then i’m going to lunch at j’s to celebrate my friend pam’s birthday. happy birthday pam! we have a pretty lowkey weekend planned, which is not the norm for us! hopefully we can tackle some projects that have been on the back burner. i’m more than ready!
this week, i did a shoot of two little cuties. i met them last summer at brett and kristal’s wedding. it was fun to see them and how much they had changed. especially julia, who was only a few weeks old at the wedding.
you know that i adore baby toes, but i like their little hands too : )
i cracked up when i saw his right hand!
when i loaded these images and saw this last image, it made my heart sing! one of the biggest challenges for me as a photographer, is to get a shot of two or more very young children in the same frame. to not only capture them in the same frame, but to capture a split second exchange like this one, is just a complete thrill! i adore this one! the connection is so apparent.
i hope you have a refreshing weekend.
God bless!
